Stuart Holman

Guitarist • Songwriter • Artist

The Guitarist part started over 50 years ago when my Appalachian roots grew down deeply into the Rhythm and Blues that poured out of King Records in the 50’s and 60’s.

The rich King Records book includes some of the best country music ever recorded as well as remarkable Gospel, Rockabilly and Rhythm and Blues. As a kid, I tried to grab it all. Once I was up and running I woodshedded for 2 decades with Albert King as my main master mentor. RIP King Albert. I drifted and drifted, kind of like a ship out on the sea, landing in the lush and fruited valleys on the island of acoustic guitar, and there I live to this day.

Visit my StuDio and hear a mix of my tunes and covers I hold near to my heart. The challenge of working there, on my own, is luscious and limited only by my inspiration. It’s as daunting as it is challenging. I so appreciate the drum loops I rely on for my foundation, all else is generated by Stuart, one layer at a time. Hope you enjoy.

The Songwriter in me ambles around, generally landing on lonesome or whimsical topics that are very visual to me; each song a movie.

The StuLive area is the business side of the site, designed to give club owners, agents and working-class heroes a chance to dance through the music you’ll hear live. I’ve played hundreds of gigs and covered many states and venues in my time. If you’re interested in what you see and hear, get in touch. I’ll let you know when I’m going to be in your area.

The Artist can be found at StuArt. I’ve been painting for over a decade now. Bright colors, fun subjects, super tight detail and hopefully lots of fun to view. The tighter I paint, the more I enjoy it. It’s a place of both intensity and calm for me. Oh, to dip my brush…
